A stonemaidens rising

Years of walking around the woods of the magical Alderley Edge have informed this work. Those who know Alan Gardners 'The weirdstone of brisingamen' will recognise the energy and mystery held within this canvas.

I always respond to my surroundings, every morning I walk the dogs around the edge. This is the first piece I've painted start in finish in my new gallery/studio space. So thought provoking, my canvas holds me in a time and place.
